Gary McKinnon:

Jonathan Joseph James:

He (December 12, 1983 – May 18, 2008) was an American hacker who was the first juvenile incarcerated for cybercrime in the United States. The South Florida native was 15 years old at the time of the first offense and 16 years old on the date of his sentencing. He died on May 18, 2008, of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

He is the hacker who released the Melissa virus is 1999. This internet virus ended up clogging and shutting down email systems because it overloaded servers. It caused $80 million in damage, and cost Smith 20 months in jail time.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m quite happy that not all hackers are bad, and hopefully you can now see the difference as well. Hacking has a large number of meanings, and many of them are still disputed by those affected today. At least now you don’t have to scowl every time you hear the mention of “hacker”.
What’s your opinion on this matter? Did I leave something important out? Let us know in the comments!

I keep 200+ Browser Tabs Open, and My Computer Runs Absolutely Fine. Here’s My Secret !

Here’s my Secret:

Today I have something that will make you feel like you have a powerful computer:

The Great Suspender — A lightweight Chrome extension to let you manage when tabs should be put "to sleep" or suspended — anywhere from 20 seconds to 3 days.

So now you can keep your Gmail, Facebook, and several other tabs open in the background without any fear of slowing down your computer system, and access those tabs again at any point you would like to.

I’m sure there are other extensions as well, but this one has worked fantastic for me and dramatically improved my Chrome and my overall surfing experience.

Automatically Suspend Tabs with The Great Suspender to avoid Browser Slow down or Crash:

The Great Suspender extension effectively allows you to automatically suspend specific tabs that aren’t in use after a set number of minutes. But worry not, as you can restore any particular tab by clicking anywhere on the page when required.

Huawei Honor 7 Review

Huawei Honor 7 Review

Huawei Honor 7

Huawei Honor 7
Launched in the U.K just days ago, the design of the Huawei Honor 7 comes directly from another success story of the brand: the Huawei Mate 7. The Honor 7 is the new top phone in Huawei’s line of “Honor” phones, which is crafted as a premium product for their most demanding customers.
At the same time, it is designed to be affordable and retails for nearly half the price of classic high-end phones. Yet, Huawei is a huge company with a great business, so how can this all be reconciled? We took the Honor 7 for a spin and put it to the real world test, along with synthetic tests to observe and analyze how good it is, and where it stands in a competitive smartphone world. Large screen, large battery, great camera – at an affordable price. Let’s take a closer look.

Performance

In terms of system performance, the Huawei Honor 7 has mixed results. On one hand, it has “OK” CPU and system performance, which means that the day-to-day usage is quite good. But on the other hand, it has low graphics performance, which means that heavy gamers should move onto another handset. We’re talking about complex 3D-driven games here. If you’re a heavy 2D gamer and play Candy Crush or Angry Birds 2, the performance is perfectly fine.

The Google app will now split your updates into two separate feeds

The Google app will now split your updates into two separate feeds
Google’s main app can provide some useful information like reminders about meetings and travel tips, but sometimes useful tidbits get lost within other updates and suggestions. To help keep things a bit less cluttered, Google will now separate your information cards into two sections.
Instead of just one massive list, there will be a ‘Upcoming’ tab for all your personal updates – like flights, meetings, and travel time – and a ‘Feed’ tab for current events – think sports, news, and weather.

Users in the US will also now see a new card that lets them choose the specific topics they want see more updates on.
While I get the desire to be little more organized, especially as Google adds a greater variety of information cards, some users will be unhappy with the change. I, for one, liked being able to just open Google now and view all of my updates in one place. Now I’ll have to remember to switch between tabs.
The change is rolling out to Android today and will arrive on iOS soon.

Sprint partners with Niantic to turn all its stores into Pokéstops

Sprint partners with Niantic to turn all its stores into Pokéstops
Pokémon Go creator Niantic has inked a deal with mobile carrier Sprint which will see all of its stores transformed into pokéstops or pokémon gyms. This arrangement also extends to all Boost Mobile retail locations, as well as Sprint at Radioshack stores.
This gives those still playing the once-hugely popular mobile game more places to stock up on the all-important Pokéballs and Razzberries – essential for catching Pokémon -, as well as a somewhere to battle other trainers.
To actually coax players into the stores, Sprint is also offering free charging stations, which no-doubt will be welcomed by those still playing the notoriously power-hungry game. It’s likely the company hopes those stepping inside to get some juice will also be tempted to sign up for a new plan.
The deal starts December 12 — the same day Niantic expects to drop some all-new Pokémon. Other major changes are planned as well.
Sprint’s deal isn’t the only one we’ve seen in recent days. Starting tomorrow, all company-owned Starbucks stores (as opposed to franchise-owned ones) will transform into Pokéstops.
According to a leaked memo, the coffee chain also plans to launch a special Pokémon Go-themed frappucino beverage called the Pokémon Go Frappucino Blended Creme. Personally speaking, I would have gone with thiscoffeetasteslikeburnedrubberchu, or fuckoffimnotpayingfivebucksforthismander.
While interest in Pokémon Go has dwindled, it’s possible that these partnerships, in addition to the impending update, could go some way towards reviving enthusiasm for it .
